WhatApp new feature: Chat Lock

The most popular messaging application WhatsApp introduced new features called Chat Lock.

✅ Chat Lock on WhatsApp put a conversation in a folder that can only be accessed with device’s password or biometric, like a fingerprint.

✅ Locking a chat automatically hides the details of the conversation in notifications.

Users can lock a chat by tapping the name of a one-to-one or group and selecting the lock option. To reveal these chats, slowly pull down on inbox and enter the password or biometric.

Over the next few months, WhatsApp going to be adding more options for Chat Lock, including locks for companion devices and creating a custom password for chats so that user can use a unique password different from the phone’s.

WhatsApp are rolling out Chat Lock on people globally on WhatsApp.
